St. Matthew’s Church is a vibrant and welcoming Anglican Church in the High Brooms area of Tunbridge Wells. This website is designed to be an extension of our Church Community, and if it is your first time of visiting, then a special welcome to you.
We currently have one main service each Sunday, at 10am. This service is in church and is also live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube.
We also have three other services in a month, each once a month. Each of these services has a different feel to it – see below for more details of these.
If you want to watch our 10am service live on a Sunday or catch up later, you can find it on our Facebook page and on our You Tube Channel
Here are the details of all our services.
Each of our services has its own particular flavour.
8am: Book of Common Prayer communion service on the first Sunday of the month. This is a small traditional service, with holy communion.
10am: informal and friendly with children’s groups. The place for all the family. Great coffee is served before and after the service. This service is on every Sunday.
5pm: traditional and welcoming, tea and cake is served from 4.30pm.
The 5pm service is on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
7pm: vibrant and contemporary, we have longer for worship than we might have at other times. Drinks and snacks are served before and after the service.
The 7pm service is on the 4th Sunday of each month.
Whichever service you choose you will be assured of a warm welcome.
At 10am we have a full children’s program with a crèche and Glow and Bright for our primary school age children. On the first Sunday of every month we all worship together as a church family.
You can find more details about our children’s ministry here
At the 10am service we have a youth programme for young people in years 7 and upwards. Have a look here for more details.
There is street parking around the church. We would ask church members to avoid parking in Gordon Road unless absolutely necessary as it inconveniences our neighbours.
We are located in the heart of High Brooms. Click on the map below for a map view, or click here for details of public transport or driving directions. We have disabled access to the main church building via the High Brooms Road entrance.
